      Those were my thoughts too but I'm not near enough. I have 2 ex-batts that no longer lay but they live in happy retirement.

            If you sort of re-arrange the coop and run if possible (maybe add some extra branches or tyres for perching?) then introduce 2 or 3 new girls, it'll be like all of them are "new" together and will be more interested in exploring their new surroundings rather than having a bit of a barney.               all the best, sorry for your loss. personally, I would leave the coop as is, and introduce the new girls late afternoon then bundle together at night. Keep an eye out that the old girl does not draw blood.

                well we bought to new girls and indtroduced them two days ago everything seems fine so far .They are 22 week old black rocks so they are laying hopefully encourage the other girl to start again as she is only 24 months old .
                Will put some pics up when we take some
