Eggs ideally should be kept at room temp for around 14 days (if they last that long in your house!) you can tell if the egg has past its best by floting it in water. if it sinks to the bottom its still good, if it bobs to the top the air gap in the gg is too large meanin its dried out and should be chucked.
if you store in a fridge, then you can theoreticaly keep eggs for 28days.
Assuiming keeping eggs to hatch:
store pointed end down in an egg box, making sure the eggs are spotlessly clean. tilt the egg box to one side by sticking something under one end so it slopes. each day you need to alternate the direcetion the eggs slops, but dont be too religious about it!
keep at room temp for a maximum of 7 days. after 7 days the hatchability drops quite dramatically, although not unheard of.
Cool room temp is good. Central heated room temp is less good. Fridge keeps them longer, but the 'newness' is lost quickly.
Unless you are using something like an egg-skelter, store pointed end down.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
