hi,i have a millefleur pekin, not the only pekin i have, but this millefleur warbles ?? lifts and raises her head forward and does this kind of warbling,im begining to think she might be a he!! but her comb is nothing like a cocks..any ideas?
totally mad on growing veg and keeping bantams!!!!
i am afraid if its warbling then its very likely to be a young boy. is it kept with other cockerels? sometimes the cockerels development is suppressed by more dominant cockerels. it becomes a "closet cockerel" if you will. remove the dominant ones and the the young often "comes out of the closet" and flourishes into a full blown bird.
got a large pen with two pekins, three wyandottes, and cuckoo pekin, the said bird is a millefeur pekin and just so happens to havnt laid,so might be a him,but the cockeral thats in there is treading the warbler??? its definately a tricky thing to sort out..
