It's times like these I miss out on - (having a mom incubating 'my' eggs!)
I tucked chook mom up for the night and could clearly hear chicks cheeping inside their shells....if they were in an incubator I too would be hovering over it at this very moment!
.....tis too wet,cold and windy to wander down to the coop for a quick peep at this time in the morning

One of our ducklings imprinted on us and wants to be with us rather than the other ducks so it gets cuddles. it likes them so much, it sits in mike's shirt pocket and wants to go to work with him.
we wont let him as it needs to be with the others to eat and drink but it is sooooo cute!Comment

Out of the 18 eggs I put in the incubator, 2 were discarded as clear and I now have 14 ducklings in the brooder with the other two eggs hatching!
