    you're not going to believe this, but we've just had a 3.5 hour power cut! of all the days to have it. one of our neighbours trees came down in the high winds onto the power cable apparently.....draped a duvet over the incubator and just prayed that it would keep them warm.

    power is now back on and cheeping still to be heard so hopefully they are all ok.

    phew!!!!

      A relief though that you can still hear cheaping!

        I would start to chip away at the shell now, give them a good, big area around the dents without going into bloody membrane. If the membrane is dry and hard , cut away a tiny piece to make sure they have air then help them carefully and bit by bit.

            I can imagine the power cut put your heart in your mouth there, duvet was a good idea. Hope they are all ok and you get your ducklings soon Good luck.
