One of my hens has been looking sleepy the last couple of days, she had a small blister in her lower eyelid, Bramblepoultry advised me to get advice from a vet, which I did and they said its probably had a poke in the eye from hey etc and to keep an eye on it. I did and her eye looks perfect now, however she appears to be a little slow and keeps closing her eyes. She looks in good condition, she's eating and drinking well, her eyes nose etc look fine and they have all just been wormed. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks again.

have you given her any poultry spice? it may build her up and strengthen her constitution ,good luck with her.. -
Is she laying? From what you describe she does sound off colour, but sometime birds do that and there is no obvious reason why. Give her a little more time and see if she picks up in a few days. As long as she is eating and drinking, and her poo looks normal, then there is not much else you can do for the present. If she deteriorates then you will have to consult your vet again.Comment
