I know there's been loads of posts about sick chooks but I need help with one of mine if there's any one with ideas. (and it was all going so well at last!)
My newbie Nannie Ogg has not yet come into lay, she's about 24 weeks now and is very subdued and sleepy. Has been fine up until now and is settled along with the other newbie into my little flock.Today she has not been eating , although I hand fed her grapes and tomato. I have given her olive oil and a warm bath and hair dry( read about this re. being egg bound) Her crop is soft. She did drink on her own after I put her back but she isn't moving around much at all. I'm going to put a warm water bottle under her tonight but should I leave her with the others, they're not bothering her, or bring her in?
I'm also worried for the other newbie as the settling in period has only just calmed down and they are still very much a little duo.
Any ideas appreciated.
