the corrugated roofing will also make it very hot. perhaps you could use corrugated on one end, and chicken wire roof at the other. foxes can jump and climb, and chew wood so i would definately have a roof, and reinforce all wood with chicken wire.

Hi all, sorry to hear your having so much trouble with foxs.Youd be amazed at just how strong and intelligent a hungry fox can be.....whats worse is that in most cases a fox that has gained entry will see a "red mist" and kill much more than he needs......the answers your looking for can best be found by looking at the systems gamekeepers employ, they have thousands of poults to look after and so use all the right methods to control fox predation and keep bird losses to a minimum.Rather than use chicken wire try using weldmesh, the bottom must be buried approx 18" and the roof needs to be covered. then run an electric fence around the perimiter, if fox problems persist then try using fox cage traps or contact a proffesional for help removing the problem fox.Dont presume you have a single fox....i recently witnessed 2 foxes hunting together around a pen, one was confusing the birds and causing havoc one one side whilst the other pulled the birds to the wire (on the opposite side).Hope things work out for the best ,
