I've had my cream legbars penned so I could stick their eggs in the inci and hatch some chicks. Due to the impending move (boy I hate packing already) he who is rarely obeyed pointed out that it would be a bit daft sticking another batch of eggs in as I already have enough on my plate. So today decided to let them run out with the other free rangers again.
Tonight I went to put all to bed expecting blood and feathers everywhere as they re-integrated.
not a speckle. One big happy bunch of chooks. The dominant CL cockeral Hoppy went to bed with the FRs and the hens and Silver, the other CL boy, went to bed in their own coop. I would never have believed it. So they did run as one big bunch till the CLs were penned, and the pen is weldmesh so they could (and did) still squabble through the mesh but .
