when will she start laying again

my broody hen has hatched 4 duck eggs just over two weeks ago when will she start laying eggs again?
i am down to 5 chickens now i think the other is nestin somewhere else or mr fox has had her. so we only getting one or two eggs a day at the moment we did have 5 a day.

I think they generally start again after about 5-6 weeks from what I've read - have no experience of broodies.

My bantams have been 6-8 weeks before laying.

My broody looked after her chicks until they were 8 weeks old and then she started to lay again.

It's partly breed dependent, but most hens will come back into lay when the chicks are about 6 weeks old. By then the chicks are fully feathered and can do without her. I usually remove my broodies at this stage and put them back with the flock whether they are laying or not, although most of mine have usually started by then.
