I think you will easily get 12lb after 6 months. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I've had two hatch so far one a white one!!! and one black which confuses me a little as they where supposed to be bronze. The white one is a little weak and isn't moving much so I have fed it water. But hopefully there will be more when I get home from work.

They don't look like bronze!! but they are lovely - any more hatched?? Have they started eating? I see you have them on sawdust but for the first week I think it is safer to put them on old tea towels and sprinkle your crumbs around the floor, this encourages them to eat.

Hi Scarlet I have 4 now. They don't look like Bronze do they not to worry thats ebay for you. Im not sure if they have started eating I heard somewhere they need more care and attention than chickens is this true in your experience.

I think they are harder than chickens but worth the trouble! Just make sure they are eating. I often feed hard boiled egg to start mixed in with crumb. They go for the yellow! I also put coloured glass chips in thier water which encourages then to peck (it's always worked for me!). Make sure you are using turkey starter crumb - they need the extra protein. I often dissolve a little sugar in the water to start. Good luck, any more pics??

Wow, i've never seen a turkey chick before. They are very cute... would love to see more pics as they grow.

can't give you any advice on them thos, only that u really need some kind of sauce with them at xmas, cos they are ever so dry (my mum cremates everything she cooks might have something to do with it tho )

Turkeys are keener on dieing than chooks. Give them a tiny excuse and they will die. The last time I saw bronze poults (at least 25 years ago) they were actually bronze x white, but those were sort of stripey, coffee-and-cream.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I agree, they aren't fighters! But 4 is more than enough, 1 for Christmas this year and a trio to keep. Pic of a bronze chick
