  • Both free range with the gals . AuVin in the boss and I've not seen him 'having a bash' for a while now!
Paxo lurks around the feeder and normally 'jumps aboard' at any opportunity!

Neither of them seem interested at the moment

Did wonder about the fridged eggs but thought hey-ho- no harm in trying...won't do that again.

    • My blinkin' broody had jumped ship when I got home from work. I found her perched above the other broodies in the main coop, her eggs stone cold. Boo. I seem to remember last eyar that someone still managed to hatch something from cold eggs so I've put her back on them. I hope its not all for nowt as its her first time...

        • Turkey stag has arrived!(Brandy) slate blue and positively the ugliest thing I have ever seen. He is very tall but fortunately easy to handle, being a bit dense. cranberry does not like him and swore at him when he displayed.....hopefully he will entice her in the next few days so we can look forward to some little turkeys.......!

                • Five broodies....sheesh. That's half my flock. They're all out there, grumbling and squabbling over nest boxes. I'm soooo tempted to get fertile eggs, just to shut them up, but it's not going to happen. They'll just have to grumble.

Little Billy-no-mates is a Hamburg, nearly 6 weeks old. Any guesses what sex s/he might be?
