Taking Chickens to France

My husband and I want to up sticks and go and live in France. We feel we can have a better way of life out there and want to run a B&B.
We have 13 chickens, 4 Guinea Pigs, 2 Cats and a Horse that we want to take with us, We feel the Cats and the Horse will not be a problem, but does anyone know if we can take our chickens, as they are mainly pure breeds and are very dear to us.

As far as I am aware- there are no limitations as to what you can take out of GB...

as for importing to France..I think you'd be OK.

If you are travelling by ferry- it might be worth checking re guinea pigs- cos historically bunnies aren't allowed to travel via their boats ( superstition only)

....might be worth posing a question or two on the France Forum- they were very helpful with us!

By the way Guinea's and Bunnies are'nt the same thing!! One's a Peruvian delicacy, the other like's to multiply quickly!!
