They're starting to look more like chooks than fluffy chicks now, still cute though

Theys cute. That little dark no2 in the set of three is just gawjuss. Looks a proper cheeky little so'n'so.
Was doing some chookwatching today (cant think why) and realised that one of my legbar youngsters was now bigger than mum, I'm going to have to stop calling them the teenagers.

I can't get over how healthy your chicks look - is it the scrambled egg?!

Mine aren't so shiny (or clean), and tend to look untidy as their feathers come through. The feathers seem too big for the bird if you know what I mean......

I read somewhere that cooked egg is good for them, as it's a source of protein. It's also a way of using up the cracked or damaged eggs that I can't sell. Unfortunately Mummy-Chook loves it so much she nearly has my fingers whenever I feed it to them.

..on a sadder note, one of my 4 week old d'uccles isnt going to make it to adulthood I think. She's got that hunched up, sticky out feathers, tail down posture.....not sure if there's anything I can do for her??
