  • You should get treatment as soon as you can - although some pull through without it.
My local agricultural store sell it over the counter. You can usually also pick it up at any vets,

    • Hello,
I managed to get Coxoid and posh unmed chick crumbs at the show, so d'Uccle tinies and mum are all on that now. They dived into the chick crumbs so they must be good! The girly who's poorly still not quite right (quiet and a bit fluffed up, but still running and eating) but hasn't got any worse - hopefully she'll be ok after a week on Coxoid.
      Thanks all,
      JM

      • Hi all, me back again.

I can't believe how much the Vultures have grown! They are four and a half weeks old.

          • Yes, and they're eating for England!

Two of the pale ones already have Light Sussex neck markings, which I'm really pleased about. The first one to hatch is a pale grey all over, and the other three (boys?) are still immature-looking and yellow.

The dark ones are still three black and a brown. They are so active, and none of them stay still long enough for me to study them at any length.

              • Yeah they grow so fast. The days of fluffiness are soon gone. They look nice healthy growers G4. Have you managed to sex them all now?

                • No! Haven't had much to do with them since my Op. so Mr. G. has been on animal duty. I'll be changing them to Growers' Pellets this week, I reckon. I want them to put some weight on, so they stop flying out of the bladdy run!

                  • Clip their wings! You will have to do it several times though over the next few months as they regrow their feathers very quickly at this stage. I always clip mine - can't have them all flying out all over the place.

I may well resort to that!

If the early indications were anything to go by, there should be three Sunday Roasts!

                        • OK Peeps - the Babies are now eight weeks old!

I'm sure at least two of the Girls are actually Fellas, if not more. So much for the early wing and tail feather formation theory! LOL

The four black ones are now, two black and two brown with ginger collars. Originally all suspected female, now I think at least one is male. The six yellow ones are now, two cream, three Light Sussex marked, and one soft bluey-grey with a cream head! The grey one is also, I think, a fella. Time will tell.

Little boogers can fly over the Heras fence, despite me removing their climbing frame, that I thought they were launching from. Scissors out at the weekend!

                          • I'd go for a boy on left in pic 1 and the marked LS at back also a boy. In Pic 2 the one on far right looks like a boy and possibly the one with yellow legs. Have a look at the hackle feathers - they might give you another reference point now. Also the thickness of the legs?
