  • They don't look like chicks any more, but still cute though.

    • They're little Houdinis! The Black and Brown ones have finer legs, although one of them has yellow feet with black legs - looks like it has shoes on - very comical!

      The Blue/Grey one has two tail feathers that grow out diagonally, like a V, just like my Cockerel does, and one of the dark ones has the same. The two creamy ones still have no tail. One of the LS is suspect, as it has bigger Comb/Wattles than the other two.

      I'm not bothered how many of each, really, and I am enjoying watching their transformation. They are bigger every day!

      • Shape of feathers on neck and tail is the best clue at this age (but until they either crow or lay eggs, NOTHING is certain!)

        • OK, update. As far as I can tell, I have four Fellas;

          One LS pattern, one cream/white, one silver/grey and a brown/black.

          • Here are close-ups of the brown/black and the silver/grey. They both have comb, wattles and long tails.

            • Here are the other two; LS colour and the cream/white. They have no tail, to speak of, but each have an almost definite female to compare with.

              • The cream/white is the only one I would be not-quite-sure-of out of those 4.

                  Same here, but his 'Sister' has no comb or wattles to speak of, and much smaller finer legs and feet, whereas this one has right sturdy legs like the other three Fellas, so I'm quite confident he's a 'He' too.

                  That's four Sunday Roasts I'm looking forward to, unless anyone wants one to add to their flock?

                  • I would say all four are definitely boys. Bon appetit!

                    If the other six (?) are all girls you have been really lucky to get just the four boys.
