    Hi guys,

I know this sounds a bit of a weird question but when you have a chook die at home what do you do with it?

There are rules about the depth you must go down, I was told at least two metres, and I ain't diggin' that far. Also, you must be a certain distance from a watercourse.

              So, Bin!

Not allowed to bury in garden DEFRA say double bag and put in bin - believe me, with the number of fox attacks we have we are getting used to it! (Luckily only one this year!)

We bury pets, but double bag and bin chicken remains.

Touch wood we have not had any fox problems yet!!!!!!!!!! There is a theory that if you feed foxes they will leave the hens alone. Our foxes will be hungry as we don't have many dead chooks to feed to them thank goodness.
