They're cool! 17 weeks, so probably some time off laying yet.
I got three, a light Sussex, magpie, and French black rock. Seem reasonably tame, in run now munching on some weeds and salad leaves
Clipped a wing on each, glad I did as I didn't realise they can jump so high! The light Sussex wanted to explore I guess hehe.
Coop settled down, doesn't really smell, I went inside for a while to see what it was like.
Quick question- the lower beak seems longer than the top... Is this cause for concern? From a local farm, who's birds appear to be free grange, buy these were in a cage.
I like the sound they make when they nibble the magpie is huge too!
Cat just attempted to assume run, then turned and legged it hopefully these birds will save me bother of shooing the damn things away!
