  • Found Chicken Help Please

    Hi,

I found a chicken at the end of my road and knocked on a few door's to see if it was anyone's and I couldn't find the owner and it was getting dark so I put it in a box with holes in and put into my hen house with my ex bats it seems its a pol.

What I need now is advice from you about what to do next?
I dont know of anyone else who keeps chickens near me

    Best Regards
    Mr Worm

Do you have a local shop where you could post a notice?
Otherwise, you've got some introductions to do - hope they don't squabble too much!

I thought it was 'early bird catches the worm', not the other way round!

Mr Worm catches the late bird!

Maisie is lucky to have you Mr Worm

Looks like the standard Warren/ISA Brown ex-Batt type to me. I have abut thirty-odd of them, so it's an educated guess!

By the colour and small size of Comb, I'd say she's a youngster. I hope she fits in with the others.

She looks just like the 2 girls we got from a school hatching eggs programme!
Unfortunately I dont know what breed they are either, therefore I am intrigued too!

I also have a Mendlesham Ranger which is pretty similar but no white
