egg problem

my chook laid a egg without a shell.
she then seemed abit yuck for abit but now seems fine.
has anyone any advice why this happned ?? or is it somthing than happens from time to time

As far as I am aware - she may be lacking calcium in her diet.
What are you feeding her on??

they have layer mash with bookashi bran.
mixed corn, mealworms (occationally),
greens, oyster shell and grit.

Sometimes it just happens, if it isn't regular & as you say she has grit I wouldn't worry too much !

Mine have all the right stuff and I've had this happen twice - same chicken I think. It just seems to be one of those things.
