  • Typical!

We went away for the weekend - had a text from my mate who was looking after them this morning - had our first egg (well, kind of egg - its tiny!)

Got the birds on the 6th of Oct - 17 weeks old - so are just over 20weeks old now I think? Only the black rock (I'm guessing) has popped yet, but as it's so small I think the little one can have it!

Took a pic for prosperity pound coin next to it!

She didn't lay in the next boxes (or, intrays as work once knew them as ). Just I'm guessing from the perch, as it was in the poo beneath it..

Do you think she needs instructing with a fake egg?

Typical blimmin Bird to time it whist you're away!

Fake eggs or golf balls, placed in the nest-box, will help them get the message.

        Hope you enjoy your egg!
