I live near a castle- which always has a large display, and the neighbours are also firing them now.. Bit concerned it may stress the chickens as they're so loud, do you do anything or just leave them to it?

Not sure if I should being them in, in boxes? Heating is on mind, so that was another concern.

Why do I worry so arrgh!

Mine are all tucked up in therir coop in a WW2 war zone! Not much I can do about it so its pointless worrying.
I expect it will affect egg production though!

        Banned?

They've stopped firing them now - I think I may bring them into (or maybe in the garage) tomorrow night though! Lots of press about the largest display yet tomorrow.. Not looking forward to it with the little one being such a light sleeper either!!

I'm sure your chickens will be fine Chris. Even in the garage they will be able to hear the noise, I can hear it inside my house.

Mine were in bed by the time the noise started. It didn't bother them last year though.

Just been out to check mine because next doors have gone mad with fireworks this year. They seem absolutely fine. I'm not sure what i would have done if they weren't.

              Good luck

They will be ok, but bear in mind egg production will go down. I feel sorry for people with stressed dogs though - they have acute hearing I suppose - it bet it gives them a migraine!
