nothing could replace Buffy,still sad about her and miss her at morning opening time, but there's a wee light sussex come to my attention who's mates have all been chomped by a fox,somehow the fox missed her,a friend has taken her in but doesn't really want her. Anyway she arrives tomorrow

no, it throws you right out polo i think because one is always trying to ensure that they have a happy life, not just a laying hen life but one where they are free to be hens in their henny way, ie they love to free range, so when this happens it's really disconcerting to say the least, but i wouldn't change it, a fulfilled life however short is better than a long and very boring one!!!!

yes! but will catch her on sat morning as she comes out as we won't see each other till saturday (daughters at the same pony club) but in fact I don't know why they want to give her to me really, i've now learnt that she came from a place where the other hens were all foxed, but where she is now they have other hens which she roosts with but remains seperate to at other times,ranges very far from home too, if she goes nearby they beat her up, i guess that's why they want me to take her, but my girls are just normal hens and will probably beat her up too!!
