  • All 3 in lay, whoop !

Nice xmas pressy (bit late mind!) but went in this morning to find three different eggs - one very very light pink, which I'm assuming must be the Light Sussex, then the other two normal eggs - however this egg wasn't as small as the other two's first eggs? - they were tiny!

Guessing she must be laying now anyway, as every time I go near her she squats - and doesn't mind me touching her now.. before now she'd peck and squawk at you to get you away from her.

Well done those chickens - nice to see you around again Maureen!

One of mine is off lay and really suffering in the cold weather. The rest don't seem to mind. They lay on and off, a couple seem to lay most days. I've been putting them in the greenhouse in the day so they are a bit warmer but I still have to hand feed her at bedtime as her crop is nearly empty. She just isn't motivated to eat yet when I feed her she's hungry and thirsty. Just seasonally depressed I think - and a lot of humans with her!
