male or female,why no eggs

    Dont panic..I've got some blue orps like yours, first one was late hatch and didnt lay till 30wks, others are now 24wks and only one looks likely so far..just slow starters I guess. Oh, and my boy looks just like the hens but with black feathers along the back coming in now, and he's MUCH taller.
    In fact it earned him his name Zuz (from zz top, legz)
    Anyone who says nothing is impossible has never tried slamming a revolving door

      My august hatched babies are now laying, their eggs are slightly on the small side but it's possible they'll get a little bigger as the hens get older.

        have had eggs on 3 days this week,looks like the welsummer is now in lay stillwaiting on the others
        don't be afraid to innovate and try new things
