Google hatching eggs and see what's available and where. It's better to collect in person rather than relying on post if you can and also you then get a chance to look at the parent birds and see the sort of quality they are and what conditions they are kept in - usually indicative of how healthy a bird is likely to be. Unhealthy parent stock produce unhealthy offspring, that is if the eggs hatch at all.
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
I have bought from eBay several times, with a fairly good hatching rate (but never 100%). I prefer to pick them up locally, so I know they haven't been transported roughly, or exposed to temperature extremes, and I can see the parent birds.
Hatching eggs are sold at Fabian Eagle's auctions each week up in Norfolk, but I wouldn't like to guarantee what you'd be getting.
..I'd agree, although hatch rates might be ok on posted eggs, I've never had chicks as vigorous as those from eggs I've picked up locally....you could look on ebay and then go and pick them up, if the seller is near enough...your friend could also put an ad for what she wants in the local feedstore, as lots of people will be passing through.
