We've got a new girl....donated by our neighbour!

My bantam Wyandotte seems to keep his harem in order without really doing anything! Most of his girls are quite small (Silkies and Orpington bantams)though the Welsummer looks like an ostrich among the others but most are bigger than him.

We really do need to get shot of Ginger. He's far too noisy and my poor neighbour works nights. The banty boy crows quite quietly, but it starts off a competition between him & Ginger. I swear the banty does it just to get Ginger into trouble.

The vet where DD works has given us some extremely strong sedative, so we're going to dose Ginger up down in the shed, wait til he's out of it and then use the broom stick. We can't eat him, but that's not a problem. If he can't struggle or doesn't see what we're doing then we cowardly custards can deal with him.

We should have dispatched him with the others last year but we were far too soft for anyone's good. Won't do that again!
