Offered it my neighbour - her bins are all full too hehe. Although it seems we've broken the usual currency boundry, as my wife gave someone some eggs in her work, who is trying to give up cabbages in return heh. I'd love to live in a small village.

Thank you very much Paula You've confirmed what I thought, and I will definitely go into battle on her behalf!

We've had this come up here.

We were told by the council man who deals with us that chickens aren't allowed on allotments.
He mentioned a bylaw, but hadn't provided one.

So I rang the council switchboard and was put through to the legal department who told me a tenancy can't overule your legal right to keep hens and rabbits on an allotment. They've confirmed this by email too.

My allotment neighbour is always eyeing up my home made compost and declaring it "good lucking stuff"...well I assume it's that he is referring to. This is the one who gave us a hard time to start with. The village shop is interested in our eggs all the time! Villages and villagers hey?!

You never know Jules, initiating subterfuge may make haer feel a bit stronger!
