Offered it my neighbour - her bins are all full too hehe. Although it seems we've broken the usual currency boundry, as my wife gave someone some eggs in her work, who is trying to give up cabbages in return heh. I'd love to live in a small village.

We've had this come up here.
We were told by the council man who deals with us that chickens aren't allowed on allotments.
He mentioned a bylaw, but hadn't provided one.
So I rang the council switchboard and was put through to the legal department who told me a tenancy can't overule your legal right to keep hens and rabbits on an allotment. They've confirmed this by email too.

You never know Jules, initiating subterfuge may make haer feel a bit stronger!

I don't suppose they'd know one chicken from another. Having said that, if the lady is teetering, she might not feel up to subterfuge.
