I'm nowhere near you but when we are looking for chickens we always have a look on Omlet marketplace. Haven't tried searching for you but it might be helpful.

If you have a local "Quids In" they usually have loads of adverts or you could try the local feed merchants who generally have a notice board advertising poulty for sale.

Pop Ad Trader into a google search. They were also selling POL at Dobbies GC in Ponteland.........for a price, but I haven't checked lately.
I usually get mine from a hen farm at Throckley.......for a lesser price.

Still too costly for me though so I'm hatching my own. A dozen of my own eggs in the inccy at the mo.....just one more wek to go!

Hi, Sorry, I can't recommend anyone having asked around. However, there seems to be lots of breeders in Durham - try googling Poultry suppliers in Durham.

There is also a poultry supplies place in Boldon that looks like it stocks just about everything you could need - Garden Feathers. They could probably help and they might even know of people who need to give away their hens?? I would give them a try.

called into garden feathers boldon got some cheap feeds and they recommended durham hens and meadow sweet durham so will try them
