Fingers crossed that more hatch for you Snadge, one little chick on their own always makes more noise than a few of them together (well in my opinion anyway)
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

Make that TWO chicks......another hatched this morning! First one was a day late and this one is two days late..............will there be any more? I think not!
I reckon Sid mut be firing blanks though as five of the eggs were from his harim and none of those hatched.

Sill determined to get some offspring from him so I've got another 10 eggs from his harim ready to go in inccy!

Once I'm absolutely certain that no more are going to hatch, I'll try and put a few piccies on!

It may not be Sid's fault. Have you broken the unhatched eggs to see if there is/was any development? Did you collect from all his hens or just one or two? You might have just been unlucky and picked eggs from a hen he doesn't cover very often - they do have their favourites after all.

Like you I have a soft spot for cockerels. I only keep the amount of hens I do to keep the cocks happy!

Well, you have a point, but see what the second sitting brings. You may have more luck then.

                        Sid wasn't firing blanks!

I checked all the eggs that didn't hatch and 8 out of ten were fertile but only two hatched.
