        Well as I'm busy every day baking or selling, I decided that I'd better not incubate any this year - but ................. my friend has borrowed one of my incubators and put 7 Croad Langshan eggs in it Just to check the fertility of my boysie-girlies you understand )
        My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

              I would love to be hatching something but don't have an incubator or a broody hen.

                I have a spare but you're too far away. Mind you it's always handy to have a spare or two knocking around just in case someone goes off the boil at the 11th hour, or there is a power cut.

                    We have;
                    3 Light sussex,
                    2 Moran,
                    2 Rhode island red.
                    All 3 days old and doing well in the brooder.
                    First time incubating for us and everything was home made, the incy out of an old fishtank lined with styrofoam and the brooder is made of ply.
                    The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

                            I thought they were horses - or is that Appellanzer?

                              Horseys could be Apaloosa or Lipizzaner but I haven't heard of Appellanzers (yet)
