Chickens and Alkanet

Alkanet grows like wild fire round my place and is growing in the chicken coup , the chooks are happy to peck away at it but is it any good for chickens? or should it be avoided ? thanks.

It grows round here too, although I didn't know what it was called until I 'googled' it just now. As for the issue with Chickens, I'm afraid I have no idea, sorry.
