Stalosan

Hi I have bought some stalosan disinfectant powder for the area my chickens are in to spread does anyone know if the birds have to be excluded for a period of time or can I just rake it in and off we go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I think its quite safe - defra recommends it. I haven't used it myself although have heard its very good.

I use mine in the coop aspecially in winter when you can't mop out. I also ut it in the run when its warm and wet to try and minimise infections etc. I've never excluded birds as its mixed in with the Hemcore.
