Just a couple of weeks back I had two faithful hens laying.
Then I found an egg in one banty coop, then another, then the silkies; last week we found that the other hybrids and cookie the cuckoo maran were laying too, and now the barred wyandottes are laying, and the day before yesterday I found three eggs in with the silver sussex, and a cream legbar egg.
Tonight when I opened the nestbox I got a very indignant stare from one of the cream legbar hens...
If she's going broody I'll be in heaven.
And all in a fraction over two weeks......
