  • Silly Question

As chickens only live for about 3-4 years. What do you do when they are about to pop of the pirch.

Do they on in the pot or join all the hamsters in the plot by the trees.

It would be up to you!!
did they served you well? the pleasure to see them, the fresh eggs, clearing your soil of insects, the beautiful manure that they provide. If you got them as one day old chicks They would think that you are their mum following you whenever you go. Did you provided them with an excellent life and love? then I would not esitate to prepare them for the pot and while eating them I would know that they would become part of me as I would love to know that my body would eventually feed plants, insect etc. I came to the conclusion that in life everything is one.
    My best regards

Technically you are not allowed to bury them as in a family pet. You have to take them to an incineration plant.

Me personally? I would agree with Don Vincenzo. As harsh as it may seem it is their 'personality' that you are attached to and the memories that you hold onto. They will last forever, their bodies become a carcass.

Now I know we've all gone mad. I know nothing about this stuff, but I'm sure you do. Under what legislation can I bury a cat or dog, but not a hen ! Any pointer in the right direction will do.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
