Readymade sandwiches

I was out and about working today and didn't have time to pack lunch, so went into a village shop for a sandwich. The choice was chicken, chicken with lots of different flavourings, chicken with stuffing, tuna and more chicken. I feel sorry for all those chickens who had rotten lives before being made into sandwich fillers.

The miserable short lives they endure obviously has little impact on the sandwich market. It makes me SO cross!!!!

How I agree! I never buy chicken stock cubes either - I use vegetable.

The only chicken stock cubes I buy are organic ones (Kallo).
It's not just sandwiches, often lookes like 90% of the 'ready made' curries in supermarkets are chicken-based as well (you get some fish and the occasional Rogan Josh, which is supposed to be lamb). Same with the Chinese 'ready meals'.
