I have two.
One is sitting on 2 eggs- both on their 3rd day overdue. We threw 2 of her other eggs out yesterday as they sounded 'liquid' inside.
One chick hatched 2 days ago- the remaining two have until tomorrow to hatch. Poor chick-mom is sitting quietly but I bet chick can't wait to get out and scratch about.
My other broody is sitting on 8 eggs- due tomorrow. No sounds as yet. They came from a friend. Same breed but different blood line.
Both moms have been very tolerant - hissing and squawking a bit when turfed off the nest for breakfast- but returning of their own accord after about 20 mins.
I think my moms are pretty gentle- they haven't had a peck at me at all!"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

I've got 2 Silkies with chicks - (one hatched over weekend) another Silkie growling and fluffed for last 2 weeks, one bantam Orpington looking like a feather covered football and another coming over all unnecessary every now and then when she thinks about it! Think that makes 5!

One of my new Blacks is acting broody - she's only a little thin dot of a thing anyway, only been laying a month. Turfed her out and shut the nest box today as I don't think she can do without the food!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

My bantam Orp is now fluffed up in a plastic dog bed (puppy size) happily brooding a golf ball! The Sikie has turned quite nasty since I gave her the unhatched Araucana egg. As its obviousy not going to hatch I'm going to have to remove it tonight

Well, I started off 4 weeks ago with our silkie, who was promptly joined by 2 others - silver laced bantam wyndotte and a barred bantam wyndotte. As the eggs they were sat on had gone over their date, I moved them to a hutch so I could give them new eggs the next day. However, overnight one of the eggs hatched and silkie decided that it was her's to look after.
So now I have the other 2 sat on a batch of eggs. And over the past week or so my bantam orpington and my golden plymouth rock have decided to sit together and brood, so I have just moved them to a hutch together. The hissing and pecking the plymouth rock does is unbelievable!!

One Speckled Star. Bottom of the pecking order and frightened of everybody so it's the only chance I get to get close enough to check her over. Screams at me but not pecked so far. Second time she's been broody and I don't want one as never going to hatch again and as I only have 3 layers I need the eggs.
