  • Salmonella vaccination advice please!

    Hello all.

I have been advised that hens only need to be vaccinated once against Salmonella, is this correct?
My hens had been vaccinated before I got them, will I need to do this again, is it an annual thing?

I have looked in several books and online but can't find anything about repeat vaccination.

Many thanks for any help with this

Commercial hens get a one off vaccination as chicks. So no, you don't need to do it again.

        Thank you!
I had been told this and trusted the advice given, but now that I'm selling and giving my eggs away I thought it was responsible to double check rather than blindly trust one piece of advice.
        Thanks again
