does anyone keep quail?

just wondered if anyone kept quail. I saw some at a local rare breeds centre and my daughter wants to keep a few. The thing they were housed in looked more like an avery than a coop and run so wondered what type of house suits them best and if they are easy to keep/diet ect.

Hi, serenity, i used to keep quail in the bottom of my aviery to eat the seeds that were left over by my budgies, etc , you can eat the eggs although quite a few were needed for a sandwich, they are very timmed birds, i just had a small box for them to use at night , they never laid in there always laid anywhere on the floor hope this helps you,
