having had the best april that scotland has ever seen ,we are now into normal summer mode,today the tele weather people tell us that we had a foot of rain yesterday,the birds ran round all day,looking like drowned rats,too stupid to go under the covered area,local river is about 6/7ft in flood,but we get that regularly,just hoping that our summer improves ,not just warmer rain like last year,failing that,i will be buying some ducks instead...i just might splash out on some....i know ....terrible..

i remember that area,as i spent two years there in the foces,running down sunbaked lanes with heavy rucksacks on your back,i will settle for a coffee and a comfy chair,to wait out the rain,after all,theres always next year
