Little Gold Sebright Cockerel Anyone?

The animal sanctuary that DD works for has a Gold Sebright rooster in need of a home. He's free, although any donations are welcome. He really does need a good home quickly.

They're frightened to mix him with their resident hens as they're convinced he'll attack them, despite the size difference......I know, don't say anything, it's daft.

We're in Somerset, so if anyone's interested, please PM me for details.

Well, I can get him as far as Northamptonshire if needs be, but not for a few weeks. Your hearts would bleed if you could see the size of his run. Poor little beggar. But it is only temporary, and the DD spoils him when she goes in. He loves a cuddle too, bless him.

Just to say the little Sebright chap went to his new home today. He's spent a few days with us, learning some chicken ettiquette - he has no idea what hens are for - but today he went to meet his new, appropriately sized, harem. I think he found our girls rather intimidating to say the least, and at the new house there are six Gold Sebright girls for him to woo. I'm sure he'll forget the cockfighting that he was used for, before his rescue, very soon!!
