Oh dear...just couldn't resist!!!!

Went to market today and came home with 7 new chooks!
2 POL- white sussex and something like a blue Plymouth Rock plus 2 young female speckled ( bit like speckled Marans) plus 3 speckled lads for the pot!

( plus we have 6 eggs under a broodie banty...te he...tis kicking off again isn't it???)

I am just SO SO SO glad we dont have markets like that over here any more! We're having a pure breeds poultry auction at Oswestry in August - I'm going to have to wear a straight jacket to stop me from bidding!

I came home last Saturday with eighteen Maran chicks. Why? Well, because they were 20p. each and I couldn't resist a bargain!
