Very sweet - you take some great pics! Keep an eye on the serama, although it looks cute, sleeping on its back is abnormal behaviour and may be an indication of a problem. It may also provoke bullying from the other chicks.

Ok cross now The DD has just seen my post on here and has admitted hypnotising Gizmo before taking the pic. It's not on, so I've had words.

The pics are down to the DD. Her godfather takes a keen interest in her photography, and being a professional photographer himself, often bungs a camera, that he's not using any more, her way. I'm hoping to get her current camera next time he upgrades his and gives her his old one. I have no hope of understanding the nitty gritty, but point'n'click I can manage.

Giz hatched the day before yesterday, the big Marans this morning. Giz thinks climbing on the big chicks is great fun, and it gets you closer to the heat lamp! The big chicks were still 'shell-shocked' from hatching and a little dopey because they won't tolerate the little beggar when they're dry and rested!

We're hoping to sneak the 4 Marans chicks under Morag at bedtime, when they're dry and on their feet.
