      Same for bunnies - although it depends on the type of lettuce I believe. Iceberg-type varieties are a definite no-no, romaine and darker leaved ones I believe are fine - for bunnies at least, although I tend not to bother and stick to other veg.

        I've given them the odd leaf or two but as with most things, not too much. I read somewhere that lettuce, being largely water, bloats chickens and makes them feel full when they aren't so they don't eat the good stuff.

          Mine have lettuce maybe once or twice a week in the lettuce season. As long as its not by the bucketful it's ok. I give maybe 2 bolted Little Gems between 12 chooks.
