It was nice of them to let you know Snadge.

Round here it's most unusual for strangers to look out for each other. I bibbed a car in town last week and pointed down at the nice cardy the passenger had trapped in her door, trailing along the ground in all the dirt.
They caught me up at the lights and glared hard at me, mouthing some obscenities I think ! I again pointed at the cardy, but they didn't catch on. No doubt when they eventually stopped they realised what I was trying to tell them, but at the time I think they assumed I was criticising their driving.

Just had a horrible thought.................what if i'd had to brake hard for someone crossing the road and because of it they got splattered with half a dozen eggs!!! eek!
To be honest with you I'm amazed you got 6 eggs to balance on top of your car roof, they would have rolled off mine.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I once drove away from a camping trip with towels that I had been drying on the roof of the car. Never did find out where they went.

I lost a colleaugue's mobile like that - drove along and caught sight of it flying off the car roof and getting crushed by oncoming traffic. It had all the first lovey dovey texts from her boyfriend on it, she was furious. Oops.

I am always doing that sort of thing. My current stupid habit is putting the keys down with the veggies while I strap the baby in, then have to root through piles of veg to find them again.
