  • Is it time to worm again?

Wormed my girls in late March, do you think its time to do it again?

Definitely. Minimum every six months, and more often if you have a fixed pen and therefore have no change of ground.

Next week is my time to worm I think (need to check the calendar), but as mine are confined to a garden of their own (sounds posh - it isn't ) I'm worming every 3/4 months (haven't decided which yet).

Did mine last week - gives them a new outlook on life! They're eating like there's no tomorrow now!

This time, I'm not going to do the grape way, too much rafting around with it, and trying to stop the others from grabbing each others... I'm just going to mix it in the food as normal

Started today, mixed into scarmbled egg with Poultry Spice for a boost as they are moulting like crazy at the moment. My little game birds even have bare patches on their bony little shoulders !!

The grape way is to put a dab of Flubenvet on the cut surface of a grape and give one to each hen every day for 7 days. I think its easier to mix in with their feed! I've tried all 3 ways - grape, mix with feed and best of all already in the feed when bought! BTW in case anyone doesn't know Marriages do a 10kg bag of layers with Flubenvet as well as the 20kg bag
