Does anyone know of a 3 year old hen that needs home, companion for my lone hen

hi all,

does anyone know of a 3 year old hen needing a good home for a companion for my lone hen (my other hen passed away). i was looking to get an older bird as a companion for the one i have left.

i live in the hertfordshire area if that is of any help. most poultry farms sell POL's so i cant seem to find any people selling older girls.

If not does anyone know of anywhere that might. i have looked on the advertising pages of practical poultry but no luck there.

It might be worth a try here. Jane sometimes has girls to rehome and you might be lucky enough to get an age match.

You would be very welcome to one of my oldies (I have 3, 4 and 5 year olds in large fowl and even older in bantams), but I think you are probably too far away, unless you could meet me somewhere halfway? Whereabouts in Herts are you?

thanks for your offer but I am in stevenage, herts so probably too far away too meet you half way even but may have some luck with a hen rehoming centre so possibly could adopt an older lady from there. thanks anyway. il keep you all posted.
