Is there a breed club? Maybe the Poultry Club of GB could help? Specialist poultry magazines. Poultry club show secretaries ?
(Out of interest is phoenix a colour or a variety or what? )

I did see some on ebay once but didn't dare. I would simply love some yokohama. Just a pair. But like you I haven't found anyone who knows where to get 'proper' stock. I'll race you to get some

I've just done a bit of Googling - it seems they are two different breeds, but very similar, the Phoenix has a standard comb and the Yokohama a rose comb. Both with incredibly long feathers though. Wouldn't fancy trying to keep those out of the mud! One of the sites I looked at said they are poor layers, which may be why hatching eggs are hard to find Petal.

Yes, the phoenix one is the type very tricky to source. They are also the prettiest, in my opinion. they need a high aviary building too. its my son that wants to keep them and he is obsessive about cleanliness and detail, so they will suit him perfectly.
