thanks hilary b - I avoided putting gravel down as in dry weather they like to bury into it, if I had gravel down they wouldn't do that....unless some one corrects me on that and they do enjoy gravel?

We are having a huge sycamore taken down next week and chipped up. What is the best thing to do with the chippings. Dont really need any paths anywhere, any ideas?

hi stella, have you thought of firewood? I don't know where you are located, rural or town, but it doesn't necessary need chipping - some wood burners also burn chipping

but with the colder weather, some people will be really welcome of the logs

Also see whether there is a wood-carver in your area. Sycamore is one of the best woods for hand carving.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
