    Two eggs??...yipppee!

No- don't worry about the blood. It's probably a one-off cos of the size of the egg. Happens to mine from time to time - usually when they've not laid for a while and then produced a larger egg.

Alot bigger than shop eggs. I did abit of a google and presumed a little burst blood vessel. Its funny how in the kitchen you dont worry about holding eggs but getting my freshly laid eggs, they felt so fragile!

I would have a look at all four, just to be on the safe side. It's probably just an egg that's larger than usual, for whichever hen laid it, and it's burst a little blood vessel on the way out, but watch all the same. Someone else will be along soon to give you much better advice.

Agree with Jules. Nothing to worry about unless it happens a lot and there is a lot of blood but the odd smear here and there is ok.

3 more today aswell, one question I do have is honey seems to struggle more than the others laying eggs. She has laid both yesterday and today. The others just go into their nesting box , lay an egg then get on with their day not making a fuss but she hops around and makes lots of noise for quite a while before laying. Is there anything I should be worried about? She is the samllest and clearly bottom of the pecking order.

No, they all have their little ways. Some just go and do it, no fuss, Others spend ages telling everyone about it, before, during, and afterwards!

Fair enough, sory if I am being a pain just feeling my way. Doesnt matter how much research you do, their characters are all unique and they all do things in different ways. I suppose she is compensating for being bottom of the pecking order hehe. I also have one that wont go into house herself she just waits till you go in their and then kind of squats waiting to be picked up and put in there. Nutters, the lot of them hehe

I think they must have had some sort of routine at the other place and something must have taken the place at lunch time everyday as they kick off every lunch time!! Same time every day.

Even my 2 cockerels will join in with announcing an egg is on the way/being laid/been produced- as well as some of the other gals- I've counted 8 strutting around and calling- all over one egg! ( just shows that THEY'RE not struggling to lay!)
Bet they start laying later in the day soon- it's not normally a 24 hr cycle

She seems to be about the same time everyday but the others were in the daytime today as aposed to yesterday when they were first thing in the morning. They are funny creatures though. The others just seem to look at her as if to say "shes off again!" hehe.
